What Sky Roofing & Building Ltd does with your details when you ask us for a quote, call us, or visit this website — written plainly, without the small print.

The short version
- We use your details to survey your roof, quote for the work, and carry it out.
- We do not sell your data, and we do not add you to a mailing list.
- We keep enquiry details for a year, and customer records for as long as the law and your guarantee require.
- You can ask us what we hold, and ask us to delete it, at any time.

1. Who we are
Sky Roofing & Building Ltd is a roofing contractor based in Swinton, serving Salford, Manchester and the surrounding areas. For the purposes of UK data protection law we are the data controller for the information described here — meaning we decide what is collected and what happens to it.

2. What we collect
Depending on how you get in touch, we may hold:

We do not ask for and do not want special category data — health, beliefs, and so on. Please do not include anything of that kind in the message box.
3. How we collect it
- The quote form on this website.
- Phone calls to 07414 624138 or 0161 399 0604.
- WhatsApp messages, including photographs you send us.
- Email to info@skyroofing.uk.
- In person, during a survey or while work is underway.
- Automatically, through cookies — but only the ones you agree to.
4. Why we use it, and our lawful basis
UK GDPR requires us to have a specific legal reason for each use of your data. Ours are:

We do not send marketing. Giving us your details to get a quote does not put you on a mailing list. If that ever changes, we will ask you first.
5. What happens to a quote request
When you submit the form, the details are sent to our own email address at our own domain. They are not passed to a third-party marketing platform, and they are not published anywhere.
A roofer reads it, calls you back, and — if you want to go ahead — books a survey. If you decide not to proceed, that is the end of it; we do not chase you.
6. How long we keep it

When a period ends, we delete or securely destroy the records.
7. Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We share it only where we have to, and only the part that is needed:
- Our web host — stores the website and passes form submissions to our email.
- Our email provider — delivers and stores the messages.
- Google — analytics and advertising measurement, only if you accept those cookies.
- WhatsApp (Meta) — if you choose to message us that way, your message passes through their service.
- Suppliers and subcontractors — for example a scaffolding company that needs your address to erect a tower.
- Your insurer — only if you have asked us to support a claim.
- Our accountant and HMRC — for invoices and tax records.
- Authorities — if the law requires it.
8. Data sent outside the UK
Some of the services above are run by companies based outside the UK, mainly in the United States. Where data is transferred, it is protected by the safeguards UK law recognises — usually the International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Your roofing records — the survey, the quote, the photographs — stay with us in the UK.
9. How we keep it safe
The website runs over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), so anything you type into the form is encrypted in transit. Access to email and job records is limited to the people who need it, on password-protected accounts.
No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. If a breach happens that puts your rights at risk, we will tell you and the ICO within the timescales the law sets.
10. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to:
- Tell you what we hold about you, and give you a copy.
- Correct anything that is wrong.
- Delete it — though we may have to keep invoices for tax, or guarantee records to honour your guarantee.
- Restrict what we do with it while a query is sorted out.
- Object to us relying on legitimate interests.
- Move it to another provider in a machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent for cookies at any time, using the panel on our cookie policy page.
Email info@skyroofing.uk and we will respond within one month. It is free, and we will not ask why.

12. Children
Our services are for property owners and occupiers, and this site is not aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect data about anyone under 16. If you believe we have, tell us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
We update this page when what we do with data changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. If a change materially affects you, we will make it obvious rather than quietly editing the page.
