1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. Cookies let a site remember things between pages and between visits — that you have already dismissed a notice, for example, or which pages you looked at.
This policy also covers similar technologies that work the same way, including local storage, session storage and tracking pixels. Where we say “cookies”, we mean all of them.
First-party cookies are set by skyroofing.uk. Third-party cookies are set by another company whose service we use on the site, such as Google.
2. Your consent, and when we need it
Under the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and the UK GDPR, we may only place cookies on your device after you have agreed — except for cookies that are strictly necessary for the website to work. Those we may set without asking.
When you first arrive, a consent banner appears. Nothing beyond the strictly necessary cookies is set until you make a choice. If you decline, analytics and advertising cookies are not placed.
3. The cookies we use

4. Google Consent Mode
We use Google Consent Mode. In plain terms: Google’s tags are present on the site from the start, but they are held in a restricted state until you make a choice. If you accept, they behave normally. If you decline, they do not read or write cookies, and Google receives only anonymous signals that cannot be tied back to you or your device.
5. Changing your mind
You can update your choices at any time using the Manage preferences button at the top of this page, or the cookie icon in the corner of the screen.
You can also control cookies through your browser, which lets you block or delete them across every site you visit. Be aware that blocking all cookies will stop parts of many websites working properly. Instructions for each browser:
- Chrome — Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies
- Safari — Settings → Privacy
- Firefox — Settings → Privacy & Security
- Edge — Settings → Cookies and site permissions
6. Other services on this site
Some things we load from other companies do not set cookies, but do involve your browser contacting their servers, which means your IP address is visible to them:
- Google Fonts and Cloudflare CDN — deliver the typefaces and icons used in the design.
- WhatsApp — the WhatsApp buttons are ordinary links. Nothing is shared until you tap one and send a message.
7. Changes to this policy
We update this page when the cookies on the site change. The date at the top always shows when it was last revised. If we make a significant change, the consent banner will reappear so you can review your choices.
